Month 5 Box - Cyber Security

Lesson 10 - Capstone Project

Lesson 10: Final Project Brief – Hacker Toolkit Challenge

Congratulations! You’ve reached the final lesson of Month 5 — and it’s time to put your knowledge to the test with a creative, ethical, and exciting capstone project.

This is your opportunity to combine the tools you’ve learned — from visual reconnaissance to USB payloads to wireless spoofing — and simulate a realistic Red Team demonstration. Remember: everything you build should be responsible, legal, and confined to your own devices.

🎯 Your Mission:

Create a Red Team demonstration using at least two of the following tools:

  • 🕶 Smart Glasses (XIAO ESP32 S3 Sense)
  • 💻 T-Dongle (USB HID payload injector)
  • 📡 T-Embed (Flipper Zero alternative with BRUCE firmware)

Design a scenario that mirrors real-world security testing — but carried out safely and ethically.

💡 Example Capstone Project Ideas:

  • Use the smart glasses to spot visible clues (e.g., a sticky note password), then deliver a HID payload via the T-Dongle
  • Use the T-Embed to spoof a wireless signal (like a doorbell or fan), triggering a pre-set scene
  • Combine the glasses and T-Embed to create a portable info-gathering assistant that observes environmental changes and logs signals

📹 Submission Guidelines:

Record a 1–2 minute video that showcases:

  1. The tools you used
  2. The scenario you built
  3. What you learned (and what worked/didn’t)

Post your video in the #month5 channel on the CraftingTable Academy Discord so the community can learn from and celebrate your work!

⚠️ Final Safety & Ethics Reminder:

This challenge is meant to educate and inspire—not to cause harm.

✅ Use only your own devices and environments

✅ Get explicit permission if testing on shared systems

✅ Respect privacy, legality, and consent at every stage

✅ Practice responsible disclosure if you uncover real vulnerabilities

🔐 Overlay in video: YOU ARE NOW THE DEFENDER – Use your skills to protect, not exploit.

✅ By the End of This Lesson, You’ll Have:

  • Completed your capstone hacker toolkit project
  • Practiced creative ethical hacking in a safe environment
  • Showcased your work as part of a growing community of defenders
  • Gained real-world insight into how cybersecurity tools work in tandem

🎉 Wrap-Up:

You’ve just finished one of the most advanced and hands-on months in the CraftingTable program. You now understand not only the power of hacker tools—but also the responsibility that comes with using them.

Thank you for joining us. Stay ethical, stay curious, and as always — happy hacking.
